NORWICH - Chenango based Chobani received an award from the Global Dairy Congress on Wednesday. A leading manufacturer in the Greek yogurt industry, Chobani was honored the World Dairy Innovation Award for Best Dairy Product in the kids category for an innovative product that was lunched earlier this year.

“Chobani Tots” and “Kids Greek Yogurt Pouches” were the two products that earned the nod from the Dairy Congress. The award came after the hard work put in by the everyday employees at Chobani.

Starting in 2007, FoodBev Media has organized the World Dairy Innovation Awards held at the Global Dairy Congress. These awards are meant to celebrate excellence and innovation in every category of the dairy industry. Categories ranged from best cheese and best yogurt, to best dairy drink and best functional dairy product.
