Hellcats’ big inning keys win over Binghamton

Chenango Hellcats 7, Binghamton Post #80 4

BINGHAMTON – The Chenango Hellcats broke open their American Legion game with Binghamton Post #80 with four runs in the third to record a road victory Tuesday night.

Cameron Heggie, John Heggie, and Joe DeVona had single RBI in the third to help create a 5-0 lead. Heggie had three runs scored and two stolen bases for the Hellcats, and Conor Graven-Briggs finished with two runs scored an one RBI. Six different Hellcats drove in runs to support winning pitcher Nate Scheer.

Scheer pitched five innings striking out three and walking three.

OCO Elites 6, Milford 6

MILFORD – The OCO Elites' 19U baseball team played to a 6-6 tie with Milford Monday in a nine-inning game that was called due to darkness.

The Elites rallied from three runs down scoring four runs in the sixth. Austin Taylor and Josh Haines had RBI singles in the sixth, John Predmore drove in the third run to tie the game, and Dylan Mack was hit by a pitch to score the go-ahead run.
