26-year-old accused of fleeing police, throwing meth out of his vehicle

SHERBURNE – A 26-year-old man sits in jail after being accused by authorities of throwing meth out of his vehicle’s window, and has been charged with numerous other felony and misdemeanor crimes.

John Q. Quinn of Sherburne was arrested on July 13, 2015 following a failure to comply pursuit.

According to the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office, Quinn unlawfully fled a marked patrol vehicle when a deputy attempted to stop him for a vehicle and traffic violation.

Throughout the pursuit of Quinn’s vehicle, members of the CCSO said that Quinn threw several items from the vehicle. Those items were said to have later been identified as containing methamphetamine.

The vehicle that was occupied by Quinn and a passenger was stopped on Kendrick Road in the town of Sherburne.
