OTSELIC – Police are still investigating the cause of a deadly motorcycle accident involving a van and a pick-up truck that happened in the Town of Otselic on Thursday.

The Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call shortly after 3 p.m. Thursday reporting the accident at the intersection of County Road 16 and State Highway 26 in the Town of Otselic. The motorcyclist, John Digiovacchino of Mechanicsville, Md., was pronounced dead on the scene, forcing authorities to temporarily shut down portions of major roads.

Police say Digiovacchino was heading northbound on State Highway 26 when he struck a Chevy van that was turning east onto County Road 16. He then veered and struck a Ford F-150 pick-up truck that was headed south on State Highway 26.
