Two sent to hospital following Sunday night MVC in Sherburne

SHERBURNE – A two-vehicle MVC involving a truck and a motorcycle in the Town of Sherburne sent two victims to area hospitals Sunday night.
Shortly after 8 p.m., Chenango County dispatch received a 911 call from the area of 3511 State Highway 80, approximately 2.5 miles east of the Village of Sherburne, of a MVC with injuries. A priority complaint was then issued, and state troopers arrived within minutes.
According to dispatch records, one victim was transported by Mercy Flight to SUNY Upstate for serious injuries and a second victim was ground transported by Sherburne EMS to St. Elizabeth Medical Group in Utica; both victims were occupants of the motorcycle.
State highway 80 was shut down for approxmartly one hour while investigators worked the scene from Turnpike road to Webb road.
