NORWICH – The Chenango County Fair kicked off in its traditional fashion Tuesday evening with the much anticipated Fireman's Parade winding from the Norwich High School to the county fairgrounds via Midland and East Main Streets.

A special guest of the precession, former Broome County Executive Barbara Fiala (D), made her way north from Binghamton to the heart of Chenango County to gain exposure in support of her recently announced bid for New York's 52nd District State Senate – a seat formerly held by Tom Libous.
