UV takes down Unatego 5-1, Badger scores hat trick

UNATEGO - Last night, Monday, September, 21, the Unadilla Valley girls' soccer team traveled to Unatego to beat the home team 5-1.

Coming out strong UV's offense would pepper the Unatego defense with shots. Cearah DaCostaFaro scored the first goal of the game and jump started the Storm offense. Just a few minutes later Sierra Badger would score her first goal of the game, giving the match its half time score of 2-0 Storm.

In the second half Badger would score two more, earning herself a hat trick on the night.

Unatego would score their one goal of the game on a shot by Tanner Reed, but it wouldn't be enough as UV would earn their last score by an own goal in which Hunter Lakin would get the assist.

Unadilla Valley plays again this Friday, September, 25, when they host Walton.

Oxford


OXFORD - Oxford girls’ varsity soccer would play Walton last night, Monday, September, 21, and eventually lose by a score of 6-1.

The Walton offense proved too much for the Blackhawks to handle yesterday as they peppered the Oxford defense with 26 shots. For Walton leading the way was Kelsey Smith with two goals and Madison Grautman with one goal and one assist.
