GREENE – “Generosity” is the word underlying a community giveaway event being put on by Berean Bible Church in Greene this weekend.

Church members will be giving away a variety of items from the church parking lot, located at 109 County Road 2 just off the State Rout 12 corridor, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday – all free to anyone in need, no strings attached.

Free hot dogs will also be available. Event organizers say the central idea is to make folks feel welcome, and to connect those who have to those who have not.

“We believe God has blessed us so much, not only as a country but as individuals,” said Berean Shepherding Pastor Chuck Reppard. “We all just have so much stuff, so this is an opportunity for us to say 'Can I help someone in need with some of the excess I have?”
