S-E soccer wins 7-0 on the road with help from Coughlin’s hat trick

NEW BERLIN - In a match on Wednesday, October 7, the Unadilla Valley girls varsity soccer team hosted Oxford. At the end of the match UV came out on top 2-0.

Leading the way for the Storm were Sierra Badger and Julia Oglesby. Both girls scored goals for their team to give them the advantage.

Oxford’s defense was peppered with shots by the UV offense all game. UV totaled 47 shots on goal, with just two finding their mark. The Oxford goal keeper totaled 27 saves over the course of the game.

It was UV’s offense that won the day, rarely letting up on the Blackhawks and keeping the ball away almost the entire game.

Sherburne-Earlville


ADIRONDACK - Traveling to Adirondack on Thursday, October 8, the girls varsity soccer team defeated the home team in dominating fashion, 7-0.

Sherburne-Earlville scored twice in the first half of their shut out to go up early on Adirondack. In the second half the Marauder offense exploded into action, netting five goals. Taylor Coughlin of Sherburne-Earlville scored three separate times with one assist on the night to give herself a hat trick. Also contributing to the win was Morgan Simpson. Simpson scored twice and had one assist.
