Local bowling round-up

NORWICH - After play on Monday, October 5, in the Industrial Mixed Bowling League at Family Recreation Lanes in Norwich, the team on Ye Ole Shanty sits on top of the leader board.
Ye Ole Shanty is in first place after play last week with 22 total points, moving ahead of last week’s number one, Smith Productions. Just behind and tied for second are the teams of Smith Producitons and Lyles Transmission with 21 points. Lok-N-Log Holmes is in fourth with 19. With so many teams close on top of the leader board it is still anybody’s game.
For the men, Corey Simpson bowled the high triple game, throwing a 620. Simpson also captured the top high single game as well, bowling a 224 and a 211.
Adelia Mullins did it for the ladies, taking both the top high triple game with a 551 and the high single game with a 212 and a 193.

NEW BERLIN - After action on Wednesday, October 7, in the Wednesday Night Men’s League at Lake Street Lanes in New Berlin, the team of ARE Builders is in first place.
ARE Builders is on top of the leader board with 15 points, just two ahead of KRP Excavating, the second place team. In third place is Lisks Wood with 10 1/2 points.
Bowling the high scratch game for the night was Gary Crandall. Crandall bowled a 265 on the night, 13 points ahead of the next best man, Kevin Aylesworth. Crandall also took top honors for the high scratch series with a 703.
For the high handicap game it was Jeff Lisk with a 283. Lisk also bowled the high handicap series as well with a 776.
The top scratch game for teams went to Weak Links with a 1129. Weak Links also took the top handicap game with a 1261. For the top scratch series ARE Builders beat out Weak Links 3083 to 3040 for top honors. The top handicap series went to Lyle Tire with a score of 3450.

NORWICH - Competing on Tuesday, October 6, in the Tuesday Afternoon Mixed league, the teams of Giddy up & Go, Alley Oops, and Plaza Keglers are all tied for first place.
All three teams are sitting with 22 points in the three way tie for first. In second is Rolling Stones, just one point behind with 21. The league continues to be extremely competitive with no team giving up any points easy.
For the men it was Harry Kott who took the high 600 game and the high 200 game. Kott bowled a 645 and a 257, both miles ahead of the next best man.
It was Barb Huggins who took both the high 500 game and the high 200 game for the women. Huggins threw a 454 and a 180 to earn top honors.
