Classic Car Museum readies for ‘high rolling’ action at Classic Casino Night

NORWICH – The Classic Car Museum in Norwich is betting on another big turnout for its annual Classic Casino Night taking place this Friday from 6-10 p.m.
Classic Casino Night is an evening filled with food (provided by Tuller’s Catering), prizes, and – as ought to be expected – casino gaming for high-rollers to try their hand at. Games like Roulette, Blackjack, Craps, Caribbean, Poker, and Let it Ride.
Ticket prices are $65 which covers appetizers, dinner, desserts, two complimentary drinks, and $30,000 of the fake currency “Classic Cash” to wage bets.
The high-end event is one of only two fundraisers for the non-profit Northeast Classic Car Museum, the other being the annual Mustang car raffle which came to a close in September.
“By supporting Casino Night, people are helping the Northeast Classic Car Museum to be a first-rate tourist attraction that promotes economic growth within the county and the region,” said Museum Executive Director Robert Jeffrey.
In addition to gaming, the event will feature live and silent auctions. Gamers can use their Classic Cash to bid on a variety of top-notch items in the live auction, including a television, iPads, jewelry, a coach bag, an old fashioned gas pump, work from local artist Irad Ingraham, and a Yankees Jersey signed by baseball great Reggie Jackson.
The silent auction also has some good pickings, Jeffrey noted. Items up for grabs include merchandise and gift certificates donated by dozens of local businesses and supporters of the Classic Car Museum. Bids in the silent auction can be made with cash or credit cards.
“We have by far the best selection of items ever given for our Casino Night,” added Jeffrey. “We’re very excited about the support we’ve gotten.”
The grand finale auction will be at 9 p.m.
All guests must be 21 or older. The Northeast Classic Car Museum thanks its main event sponsors: Snyder Communications, Rapid Reproductions, New York Central Mutual Insurance Company, NBT Bank, Wells Fargo Advisors, and Corning Incorporated. Additional thanks to the many table sponsors and volunteers who help the event go off without a hitch, said Jeffrey.
Tickets are still available by contacting the museum at 307-334-AUTO (2886). More information can be found online at www.classiccarmuseum.org.
