Water main break in New Berlin resolved
NEW BERLIN – New Berlin remains under a boil water advisory after repairs were made to a water main break in the village late Wednesday.
According to Carol Riley, Deputy Mayor, DPW Commissioner, EMS Commissioner: “The break was because it was just so old and blew. It is all repaired now.”
This water main break caused muddy water to flow from faucets of homes and businesses throughout the village.
“The state came in and told us they plan on helping us repair the roads now that (the water main) has been repaired,” said Riley.
Despite reports that many businesses were closed in New Berlin due to the break, the Chinese restaurant on South Main Street was actually the only business affected, according to Riley.
