Local writer, broadcaster to discuss ‘Tastes of New York’ at Oxford book signing

OXFORD – Local writer and radio broadcaster Chuck D’Imerio has long been known for his insatiable curiosity of central and upstate N.Y. history, penning nearly a dozen published works on the subject over the last decade. D’Imerio’s books often capture readers who—like him—get a kick out of learning little known facts and unique histories of communities, landmarks and notable residents of upstate N.Y.

To build upon his knowledge, D’Imerio travels extensively, combing both northern and southern tiers of the state to both seek out and research material in his effort to bring the past to light for unwitting audiences.

Showcasing his talents, D’Imerio has planned a meet-and-greet at the Oxford Memorial Library on Saturday, Nov. 7 beginning at 1 p.m. – giving an interesting and humorous presentation of his newest book, “Great Tastes of Upstate New York.”

D’Imerio’s newest book takes a peek at 40 foods that were born—or are regionally popular—in upstate N.Y.

More commonly know as “Big Chuck” to many a morning commuter, D’Imerio is also one of central New York’s longest tenured morning radio broadcasters, hosting his top-rated morning show on WDOS, Oneonta since 1989.
