Figary takes week nine

NORWICH - Week nine of The Evening Sun Football Contest went to Ray Figary. Figary won a tie breaker between himself and one other picker.
Picking 16 out of the possible 20 games correctly, this week’s winner Figary and another picker were tied. As both pickers correctly chose Hobart over Union, the deciding factor would come down to total points. As Figary’s point total was 45 and the other picker’s was 37, Figary was closer to the actual point total of 66 and was crowned winner of this week.
This week most pickers were tripped up over the Georgia Tech - Virginia game and the Falcons - Buccaneers. Very few pickers picked the correct winner of each game.
This week, week ten, is the final week of the contest so be sure to give it your best shot.
The following are the winners from each game this week: 1. Florida St. 2. Ole Miss 3. Penn State 4. Notre Dame 5. Boise State 6. UCLA 7. Virginia 8. Virginia Tech 9. Cincinnati 10. Chiefs 11. Buccaneers 12. Cardinals 13. Rams 14. Saints 15. Vikings 16. Ravens 17. Bengals 18. Raiders 19. Seahawks 20. Broncos
