B-G volleyball moves on in sectional tournament

BAINBRIDGE - Competing in the first round of sectionals the Bainbridge-Guilford girls volleyball team defeated Hancock yesterday, November 2, by a score of 3-0.
B-G took all three sets handily winning 25-8, 25-10, and 25-15. The Bobcat women dominated all aspects of the game. B-G was lead by Erica Selfridge who earned seven aces and 15 assists on the night.
B-G will play in the second round of the tournament today, Tuesday, November 3.

OWEGO - The Norwich varsity cross country team competed in the STAC Championships this Saturday, October 31. Two of Norwich’s top runners gained All-STAC recognition at the conclusion of the event.
Norwich’s Ben Ericksen and Marcus Cashman were both named to the All-STAC team after the race this weekend. Ericksen finished 25 and ran a 17:11.5 for the course while Cashman finished 45 and ran a 17:53.4.
The Purple Tornado had seven athletes compete in the event and the top two finished within the top 50 runners.
