Morrisville HSO helps keep food pantry shelves stocked

NORWICH – The Human Services Organization (HSO) at the Morrisville State College Norwich campus, along with their advisor, Dr. Julie Burton, and the Leading EDGE Program and their advisor Matt Asma, hit the streets of Norwich last weekend for the annual HSO food drive.
The food drive is an effort that began under the advisement of the late Dr. Fred Weaver, who made it the mission of the HSO to restock the local Roots and Wings food pantry for the Thanksgiving holiday.
Roots and Wings is a part of Catholic Charities in Norwich. The food pantry Assistant, Kendra Dibbell, was happy to receive the 1,227 pounds of food donated by Norwich residents and Morrisville State College students, staff and faculty.
HSO looks forward to the spring food drive and would like to thank all the generous residents in the Norwich area who made this a great success.
