OXFORD – Upstate Equipment Services, the Oxford-based operation that specializes in repair and conditioning of large trucks and commercial equipment, is now under new ownership with a new vision to carry the business into the coming years.

As a certified mechanic of large trucks and heavy commercial equipment, owner Rich Davis said buying the business was a natural fit.

“I already know how to do a lot of the work,” he said. “A lot of this business is knowing the right way to do what needs to be done.”

Upstate Equipment Services is most notable for dealing with rust removal and refurbishment of large commercial equipment – anything from trucks, to trailers, to agricultural and industrial machinery. A NYS DOT approved vendor, the goal of Upstate is to continually exceed customer expectations, Davis said.
