S-E wrestling wins on Senior Night
SHERBURNE - On their senior night Sherburne-Earlville hosted Chittenango and won big 54-15.
The match started off at 99 pounds but no match was wrestled until the 132 weight class as the two teams traded forfeits. At 132 S-E's Mike Trask earned the first win of the night with a pin over Chittenango’s Alex Teeter in the first period. The next four matches were all won by the Marauders, including three pins by Vinny Albertina, Hunter Owen, and Adam Aldrich.
The next S-E win came at 195 pounds as Walter Keihn won a hard fought match 3-2 against Corey Fredricks. The match ended with a Jack Beule pin over Chittenango’s Tony Cutrie in 36 seconds at 220 pounds and a Cole Mikalunas pin over Chittenango’s Abram Miles in 1:29. "It was a nice win for the guys," said S-E coach Brian Hicks. "We wrestled great and the kids are looking good for our tournament this weekend."
S-E will wrestle again this weekend when they travel to Camden to compete in a tournament.
