NORWICH – A recently announced grant to the City of Norwich will help with some much needed safety upgrades to the playground at Bruchhausen Park.

The city was awarded the grant last week from the Constitution Pipeline Community Grant Program to help construct a new playground at Bruchhausen Park, located between Division and Hale streets. The $13,243 grant will help with the purchase of new playground equipment that meets up-to-date safety standards and will better accommodate children with varying abilities.

The city had applied for the grant in September, knowing that grant funds were available through the program to enhance park land for recreational enjoyment.
