Greene offense pushes past Walton
GREENE – A fierce start from the Greene men’s varsity basketball offense led them to the victory over Walton last night, Jan. 20.
Despite a scoreless fourth quarter, Greene still managed to coast to a comfortable 19-point victory, 61-42.
The Trojan’s offensive push was led by game-high scorer Jordan Harrington, who had 13 of his 21 total points in the first half. By the half-time interval, Greene held a 15-point lead.
The third quarter was where the Trojan’s played their best basketball. They got seven different players on the books to rack up 24 points. Their defense also held the Warriors offense to just eight points.
Along with Harrington, Luke Day also had a superb game for Greene, netting 16 points. Alex Tweedie was the top scorer on the night for Walton, with nine points.
This latest win brings the Trojans record to a notable 11-4. They will be hoping to continue their winning ways next Friday night when they travel to Unatego.
