NORWICH – The Chenango Film Society of the Chenango Arts Council, in partnership with the Colonia Theater, is pleased to announce its first screening of 2016, “Coco Before Chanel.”

Serving as the Film Society's second annual Valentine fundraiser, organizers are extending a warmed invitation to cinema enthusiasts looking to show their solidarity for the Chenango Film Society, which is now in its second season.

The event reception will kick off at 6 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 3 at the historic Norwich Colonia Theater located at 35 S. Broad St.

As a fundraising function, a $10 ticket at the door entitles movie-goers to a exquisite reception complete with a selection of wines and hors d’oeuvre prior to the viewing.

At 7:30 p.m., the lights dim as the original version of “Coco Before Chanel” is projected on the big screen.

Today, Chanel is a household name to fashionistas the world over; but the seldom told story of the brands matriarch is brought to light in this detailed account of one girl’s fierce determination.
