UNADILLA – New York State Police at Sidney arrested one man on Feb. 18, at approximately 2 a.m., in connection to recent activity in regards to parked vehicles from which items were said to be stolen.

Jason L. Rude, 40, of Unadilla was arrested and charged with two felony counts of grand larceny in the fourth degree; the misdemeanor charges of driving while intoxicated; petit larceny; and two counts of attempted identity theft in the third degree.

This arrest occurred after troopers responded to a report of a man going through a parked vehicle outside a home on County Route 1 in the Town of Unadilla.

It is alleged by the New York State Troopers that Rude had stolen two wallets and other items from parked vehicles in the area.
