CHENANGO COUNTY – Local organic dairy producers may be eligible for consultation grant funding to make their operation more viable.

Assemblyman Clifford Crouch (R-Bainbridge) recently announced that grants are available through the partnership of the New York Organic Dairy Program (YODP) and the New York Farm Viability Institute.

“In recent years, New York State has seen a resurgence of small, family-operated dairy producers, specifically organic, and we can attribute that rise to the demand for a quality product,” said Crouch.

Crouch, a member of the Assembly Agriculture Committee and former dairy farmer, said it’s “good news,” especially for local consumers.
