NORWICH – The Golden 20’s league met up Wednesday night, Mar. 2, to host their weekly competition. ‘On “D” Ball’ ran out the eventual winners, notching up 45 total points. They were followed closely by ‘The Old Salts’ in second, with 44 points, and ‘Challengers’, who also recorded 44 points.
The best three bowlers on the night on the men’s side were: Denny Hoxie, who finished with the highest scoring three game series, bowling a 556, with a single-game high of 196; Ed Lawton, who bowled a 517 three-game series, hitting the 192 mark in one game and JR Hamilton, who bowled a 500 series on the night, and rolled a league-high single game of 199.
On the women’s side, Ginny May took the titles of best game and best series on the night, bowling a 120 and 324 series respectively.
