The City of Norwich has been investigating a potential solar project since April, 2015, and began soliciting potential solar power developers in May. Bill Buchan, the lawyer mentioned in Tuesday’s article, does not represent SolarCity, but is contracted for services by the City of Norwich. While the Norwich City School District has been approached about using some of the city’s excess solar power, those discussions are being facilitated by city and school officials, not representatives of SolarCity.
