Authorities: Couple was selling narcotics out of Oxford home

OXFORD – A couple sit at the county jail awaiting arraignment following their arrest on Thursday.

Members of the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office arrested Robert W. Gallo, 33, and Savannah M. E. Gallo, 29, on Thursday following the issuance of arrest warrants signed by Chenango County Judge Frank. B. Revoir Jr.

The warrants stemmed from sealed indictments that were presented to a Chenango County grad jury on Wednesday.

According to Chenango County District Attorney Joseph McBride, a sealed indictment differs from a regular indictment in that the person or persons in question are not arrested prior to the indictment. The information contained in the indictment remains private, and then if the grand jury opts to indict, an arrest warrant can be issued for the person or persons in question.
