Upstate NY man charged after stray bullet hits school bus

COLESVILLE (AP) - State police say a 22-year-old upstate New York man has been charged after he accidentally shot a school bus while target shooting.

Troopers say a single bullet hit the driver’s side of the Harpusville Central School bus as it traveled last Wednesday on a road in the Broome County town of Colesville, near Binghamton.

Police say the bullet didn’t penetrate the bus and none of the students on board were injured.
