Dairy summit to explain complexities of milk pricing

NORWICH – Local dairy farmers are being urged to attend an upcoming summit that calls attention to the effects of the national milk pricing system.
The Progressive Agricultural Organization will lead the meeting starting at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 29 at the Northeast Classic Car Museum (24 Rexford St., Norwich).
“Due the ongoing milk pricing crisis in rural America, the public needs to know the outrageous pricing formula for farm gate milk,” said dairy advocate Ken Dibbell of South New Berlin.
The seminar is free and open to the public.
The Progressive Agricultural Organization is a Pennsylvania-based lobbyist group advocating for governmental help for dairy farmers. The organization is affiliated with the National Family Farm Coalition of Washington DC.
