Akshar seeks input in ‘Community Voice Survey’

CHENANGO COUNTY – Chenango County residents may have noticed a survey in their mailbox from the office of Senator Fred Akshar this week.

The 12-question Community Voice Survey gives residents in the 52nd Senate District a chance to weigh-in on issues they feel should be prioritized in Albany this year. Survey questions range in topics from the $15 an hour statewide minimum wage proposal and pension retention for corrupt public officials to hot-button issues like gun control, mixed martial arts, and the heroin epidemic.

There’s also space for people to comment on issues they think should be heeded in Albany but aren’t addressed directly in the senator’s survey.

“The only way we can be successful as a community is when local representatives actively work to make sure the hardworking people they represent can be heard,” said Akshar.
