UV Softball slips to 1-6 after loss to B-G

UNADILLA VALLEY – The Unadilla Valley varsity softball team suffered its sixth loss of the season, as they succumbed to Bainbridge-Guilford on a score line of 7-1.
Bobcat’s pitcher Kori Thorton was the key factor in the victory, as she struck at an impressive 10 batters over six innings of work, only surrendering three walks. Megan Palmetier hit two doubles on her way to a three for four on the day, while Molly O’Hara also had three hits at the plate, with a double and a triple. Best in the loss for UV was Sara Nogaret who went two for three with a run batted in.
The Storm will be aiming to right the ship when they face a familiar foe, Oxford Academy High School next Wednesday, Apr. 20. First pitch is slated for 4:30 p.m.
