Blackhawk Tennis sweeps Hancock
OXFORD – This past Friday, April 22, the Oxford Tennis team hosted visiting Hancock in what proved to be a very beneficial day for the Blackhawks as they won the match 5-0.
Francisco Quintana of Oxford saw some competition, although was able to overcome adversity for the win when he edged Sam Ogazalek in first singles at 6-3, 7-6 (9-7).
To finish out the singles play, Josh Nelson, and Alyssa Hadge also earned wins over their opponents winning 6-4, 6-3; and 6-0, 7-6(7-5) respectively.
Fletcher Nisbet and Jason Davis of Oxford saw the last competition on the day when they would defeat the Hancock duo of Michael Argiros and Nick Middleton at 6-4 and 6-0.
The final duo spot went to Oxford's Natalie Barrows and Megan Smith by way of forfeit, to close out the 5-0 win on the evening.
