Hitting barrage leads Trojans to victory over Harpursville

HARPURSVILLE – The Greene varsity baseball bats were in fine form last Thursday, Apr. 21, as they unloaded on Harpursville for 12 hits, leading the Trojans to an 11-3 win.
Eight out of 10 players on the Trojans roster recorded at least one hit as the team ran riot. Ben Kinney finished the day three for four at the plate, while Lucian Austin went one for three, with a double and two runs batted in. Pitcher Jordan Harrington also had a strong outing, working six innings. He struck out six, giving up six hits, and just two earned runs. Best in the loss for Harpursville was Ryan Kachmar, who went two for three at the plate, with a walk and an RBI.
With this latest win, the Trojans improve to 5-3 on the season. They will travel to play McGraw next Monday, Apr. 25, hoping to continue their rich vain of form.
