Building for the future

Submitted Photo

In these pictures are seen a couple Legionnaires, Malcolm Comfort and Joe Coe, as they are putting a new roof on the Norwich-Oxford little league dugouts at Veterans Park behind the Norwich middle school. The Legion Post #189 donated the materials and manpower to help get these buildings playable for the communities youth. “We volunteer our time because we want our community's children to have an outlet to get exercise and stay healthy, especially through baseball which is a program the American Legion has operated for over 90 years,” said Jason Miller American Legion and Little League Baseball Board Member. If you are a veteran, young or old, The American Legion encourages you to contact the local post to see how you can join and participate in efforts like this.
