Healthy Kids Day brings Zoo Mobile, bubble fun to YMCA
NORWICH – The Norwich YMCA will be hosting its Healthy Kids Day event tomorrow, April 30, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m., and would like to invite all to attend.
The YMCA is reinforcing the idea that through early education all the way to career readiness, they can help provide all children the opportunities to one day achieve any of their goals, even including becoming president.
The event will be held throughout the entirety of the building with many activities for children to participate in, in the gymnasium, lobby area, community room, as well as the upstairs exergame room. The Norwich Fire Department will also be attending the event in the pickup-drop off circle outside in front of the YMCA.
Turnout for this event has been well received by the local community with well over 500 attendees in the past, something the YMCA hopes to continue this year as all are invited to attend the free event.
This Nationwide endeavor is to help ensure children reach their potential, that is why their slogan of 'Zoe for President' has been presented to help remind the youth that in 2064 a small child now will be old enough to potentially run for president of our United States. Anyone wishing to donate to this Zoe for President should inquire at the Norwich YMCA front desk.
The Norwich YMCA offers many programs that they encourage everyone to get involved with regarding Early Learning Readiness, After School Programs, Mentor programs, as well as family wellness and volunteering opportunities, and much more.
Some activities throughout the Healthy Kids Day event will be: Bubble fun, Ross Park Zoo Mobile, Zumba, a D.J., SPCA activities, a Giant inflatable maze, an obstacle course, nutritional snack ideas and much more.
Numerous organizations will be in attendance at the event tomorrow including appearances from Chobani, Roger's Environmental Center, Progressive Dental, Chenango County Sheriff's Office, and the Norwich Youth Bureau.
The Norwich YMCA would like to offer a special thanks to: Chobani, NYCM Insurance, Norwich Pennysaver, Electron Coil, Matthew's Auto, Raymond Corporation, McCredy Motors, NBT Bank/Mang Insurance, Dunkin Donuts, Pizza Hut, Page Seed, Sam's Club, Wal-Mart, and M&T Bank.
