Unadilla Golf secures first win on the season
CINCINNATUS – The three-way match between Unadilla Valley, Cinncinnatus and McGraw at Knickerbocker Country Club saw McGraw walk away the ultimate winners on the day, followed by UV, and then Cincinnatus.
Playing the back nine holes at a par 35, it was McGraw who claimed the crown with a team score of 211. McGraw's Medalist on the evening was Adian Dittman who recorded the top score of 39.
UV would edge out Cincinnatus for second place on the day, recording a team score of 263. Sam Loeffler secured the Medalist spot for UV with a score of 49.
And Cincinnatus secured a third place spot with a team score of 279. The Medalist spot for them went to Jeff Halstrom with a score of 42.
Next up for UV Golf is on Thursday, May 12, when they play at Red Pine Golf Course taking on Cincinnatus and McGraw once again.
“The kids are happy and maybe we get that second win, thats what we're hoping,” said Uv head coach Karl Thomas.
It should be noted that there is supposed to be a makeup match scheduled with Sherburne- Earlville, however, it has yet to be scheduled.
