Area businesses bring ‘Touch-a-Truck’ event for youngsters to Norwich Fairgrounds

NORWICH – On Saturday, May 14, a number of area businesses will gather to provide a unique opportunity for youngsters interested in the mighty machines that get the job done. Beginning at 11 a.m. and continuing through 2 p.m. at the Chenango County Fairgrounds, children and families from all over the Chenango County are invited to attend the first-ever ‘Touch-a-Truck’ event.

Sponsored by Burrell's Excavating Inc., and KMC Sand and Gravel, there will be over 30 “larger than life” vehicles in the fairgrounds for children to see, ask questions about, and get close with in order to learn about these vehicles they may not see on a daily basis. They will even be able to meet the vehicles drivers for a truly hands on look with the trucks.

On top of the main attraction of the vehicles, Blueox Energy in Oxford is even sponsoring Animal Adventure, who will be bringing a variety of animals for the children.

There will be a numerous selection of different vehicles from around the local area including: a Chobani Truck with yogurt, Coventry Transport Milk Truck, Curtis Lumber, Emergency Vehicles from Norwich and Oxford, the New York State Police, the Chenango County Sheriff's, Frontier Trucks, Gray's Landscaping, Kuhn’s Tree Service Trucks, Jake's Towing Trucks, Let-Us-Drive Limo Service, Microd Race Cars, Rentals to go, Oliver's Campers, an Oxford School Bus, the Water Bottle Truck as well as race truck and a race car.
