Physical dispute leads to couple’s arrest for DWI

GREENE – The New York State Police at Norwich recently arrested two individuals from South Otselic, on May 7, 2016.

Michael L. Hall, 36, of South Otselic was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated with allegedly a blood alcohol content level of .08 percent, assault in the second degree, and several other traffic violations.

Hall's girlfriend, Ashlee D. Simms, 25, also of South Otselic was arrested for driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content level of allegedly .11 percent, as well as other traffic violations.

Hall and Simms were arrested after troopers responded to a report of a woman yelling for help on South Chenango Street extension in the Town of Greene.

An investigation performed by the responding troopers allegedly determined that while driving in an intoxicated Simms had been in a physical dispute with her boyfriend, Hall, who was a passenger in her vehicle.
