Calling all car enthusiasts: Annual car show set for this weekend

NORWICH – The 2016 annual Rolling Antiquer's Old Car Club Car show will be taking place in the Chenango County Fairgrounds this weekend, May 28 and 29.

The 27th annual Muscle Car and Street Rod show will take place on Saturday, while the 51st annual Antique Auto and Classic Car show will be on Sunday. Both run from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.

On Saturday, there will be 23 different classes of cars, and 70 trophies will be awarded to the winners, with first, second and third place trophies handed out to the winners in each class. Additionally, an overall best of show trophy will be given out.

On Sunday, 21 different classes of antique cars will be showcased, with more than 80 trophies up for grabs. Along with first, second and third place trophies awarded to winners in each class and an overall best of show trophy, there will also be trophies for the club with the most cars entered in the show, the longest distance a car can travel under it's own power and a hard luck prize. Judging will start at noon on both days.

President and organizer of the event, Barbara Mastinn, explained that there will be a vast variety of both old and new cars on display. “We have mustangs, custom street rods, motorcycles, trucks, rat rods, antique cars, corvettes, T-birds, Model T's, and Model A's, just to name a few,” she said.
