AFTON – The second brother suspected in a robbery that took place at a residence on County road 26 in the Town of Afton has been arrested.

New York State Police arrested Zachariah M. Burns, 31, of Bainbridge, on June 1. He, along with his brother, Brandon H. Burns, 24, also of Bainbridge, are charged with burglary in the second degree, a class C felony.

These arrests occurred after troopers responded to a report of a burglary at a residence on county road 26 in the Town of Afton on March 29, 2016. The brothers allegedly entered the residence without permission. An investigation conducted afterwards determined that both stole numerous guitars and electronic equipment, including an xbox game system. This stolen property was valued at approximately $6,800.
