Edmeston Museum open for Father’s Day

EDMESTON - The Edmeston Museum will be open on Father's Day, Sunday, June 19th, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The first eight guests through the doors will receive a gift. Admission to the museum is free and it is open to all.
The Museum boasts several unique and awe-inspiring collections that are a wonderful mixture of photos, artifacts and other ephemera. There are rooms devoted to farming, local churches, and the Edmeston school houses. One room showcases a legal document ceded use of what would become the Town of Edmeston signed by William Cooper. Another room is comprised of a barber shop from yesteryear, including a public bathtub. There is also a room dedicated to the trains that ran to Edmeston and a full room devoted to military campaigns from the Revolutionary War (Helmer's Run) through the Civil War through the World Wars including the most recent conflicts. Uniforms from both World Wars are exhibited.
All are encouraged to attend the days festivities.
