Kids at Norwich's Perry Browne Intermediate School got a hands-on lesson in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) on Friday. The school hosted a series of activities throughout the day to keep students engaged in STEM related fields. Activities featured interactive workstations for students which, among other things, included tours of a hybrid passenger bus and an up-close look of a real helicopter. The day also featured instruction from 25-plus volunteers and representatives from big name companies like Lockheed Martin, GE, Raymond, and BOCES.
