CHENANGO COUNTY – Polling sites throughout Chenango County will be open from noon to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28 for the federal primary election.
All registered Republican voters can cast their ballot for one of three Republican candidates: George Phillips, Claudia Tennney, or Steve Wells. These candidates are vying for the 22nd Congressional District which will be left vacant by outgoing Republican Congressman Richard Hanna whose term ends Dec. 31, 2016.
Please note that only registered Republican voters can vote in this primary election.
If you have questions regarding your enrollment or whether or not you are registered in a political party, please contact the Chenango County Board of Elections at 337-1760 or 337-1761.
Please note that the Bainbridge polling site has been changed from the Bainbridge Town Hall to the Bainbridge Historical Society Museum at 38 S. Main St. effective with this June 28 election.
If you are interested in finding out more information about possibly becoming a poll worker, which is not a volunteer position, or if you have any other questions for the Board of Elections, please contact either Democratic Elections Commissioner Carol Franklin at 337-1765, or Republican Elections Commissioner Mary Lou Monahan at 337-1764.
