Greene man arrested for felony assault

GREENE – Anthony L. Bowman, 20, of Greene, was arrested by the New York State Police, at Sidney, for assault in the first degree, a class B felony. The arrest followed an investigation into the report of a physical domestic dispute.
According to a release from the NYSP, on June 30, 2016, at approximately 2:20 a.m., the New York State Police at Sidney, New York responded to a report of a physical domestic dispute at a residence on Stein Rd, in Greene. The ensuing investigation revealed that Anthony A. Bowman, age 44 of Cortland, was involved in an argument with his son, identified as Anthony L. Bowman, age 20, of Greene.
The argument evolved into a physical dispute with the younger Bowman stabbing his father multiple times in the torso. Anthony A. Bowman, the father, was transported to Wilson Memorial Hospital by Greene Ambulance for treatment of non-life threatening wounds.
Anthony L. Bowman was arraigned in the Town of Oxford Court, and was remanded to the custody of the Chenango County Correctional Facility in lieu of $25,000 cash bail.
