City gets grant funds to upgrade Bruchhausen Park playground

NORWICH – New playground equipment is on its way to Bruchhausen Park in Norwich, thanks to the financial support of several foundations and organizations.
The City of Norwich was recently awarded more than $27,000 to replace worn and unsafe playground equipment at Bruchhausen Park. The money will allow the city to purchase and install a new piece of playground equipment that city officials say is safer, more durable, and simply more inviting for kids.
Grants received for the project includes $13,243 from the Constitution Pipeline Community Grant Program; $13,145 from the RC Smith Foundation; $755 from the Healthy Kids Running Series; and $500 from Sonbyrne Sales, Inc.
Residual funds from the project will be used to purchase other minor pieces of playground equipment.
