“American Hero” is a salute to Old Glory designed by Kay Meadors. The medium weight afghan could be used to sit upon while listening to open air summer concerts in the park or to cozy up with all winter. It took Commander Ardron twelve skeins of premium worsted, 100 percent acrylic yarn, and many hours to crochet this soft throw. It measures 49” x 58.5” and is sure to become a beloved heirloom. The easy care afghan can be machine washed in gentle cycles and tumble dried.

Raffle tickets are being sold all through July at the Post 376 bar (open after 2:30 p.m.) and at the Sunday Community Breakfasts, 7:30 – 11 a.m. Tickets are also available at Bartle’s Pharmacy in Oxford. They are being sold in groups of 3 for $2.00 or 5 for $7.00.
