NHS Sports Hall of Fame Committee announces 2016 induction class
Norwich - After several months of deliberation and consideration of numerous nominees, the Norwich High School Sports Hall of Fame announces its 2016 induction class.
Individual athletes being inducted include Roger Shonosky (class of 1972), Graeme Tosh (class of 1982), and Jeff Parker (class of 1997). Honored Coaches include Donald Kovalchik (wrestling) and Harold Bradley (basketball). Lastly, Perry Browne, long time contributor to Norwich Athletics will be honored for showcasing the efforts of our athletes in the local press.
“The Norwich Sports Hall of Fame committee is very pleased with its selections this year,” said NHS Hall of Fame committee member, Joseph Downey.
The induction dinner and ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, September 3, 2016 at the Norwich High School. Profiles will appear in upcoming Friday editions of The Evening Sun. More information specific to the induction ceremony will follow.

Tickets will go on sale starting July 15, 2016 and can be reserved and purchased in the Norwich Middle School office by calling 334-1600 ext 2002. All checks can be made out to NHS HOF. Dinner ticket price will be $15.00. Tables can be reserved. Donations can also be made through the Middle School office.
Dinner: 5:30 p.m. in the H.S. Cafeteria – a purchased ticket is required for this.
Induction Ceremony: 6:45 p.m. in the HS Gymnasium- open to the public – no ticket required/free admission.
