Oxford Library hosts free movie nights, crafts for familes
OXFORD – As a part of its summer family movie night outreach, the Oxford Memorial Library is pleased to announce two of its upcoming family friendly viewings, free of charge.
“Space Jam”, starring Michael Jordan, will be our Midweek Movie for Wednesday, July 27 at 4 p.m. Michael Jordan agrees to help the Looney Tunes play a basketball game vs. alien slavers to determine their freedom. This movie is rated PG. Free pizza will be provided by Blueox, and other snacks and drinks will be available for $1 or less.
Then, join the OML on Sunday, July 31 beginning at 1 p.m. for its monthly “Oldie But Goodie” movie viewing. For July, the “Road to Bali”staring Bob Hope, Bing Crosby, and Dorothy Lamour will be featured. The story of two unemployed show-biz pals accept treasure-diving work in Bali for a local princess. Along the way they find treasure, love and of course a healthy dose of trouble. Baked goods will be available for free, though donations are accepted and drinks and snacks are $1 or less.
