Huzinec Sr. appears back in Chenango County Court

NORWICH – Gregory F. Huzinec Sr. appeared back in the Chenango County Court on Monday, July 25, during an afternoon session held by the court. Chenango County District Attorney Joseph McBride represented the people of Chenango County in the case, while The Honorable Judge Frank B. Revoir Jr. presided over matters. John Cameron was Huzinec's appointed defense attorney.

Huzinec, 58, of Norwich, who is currently incarcerated at the Groveland Correctional Facility, in Sonyea, was brought back to Chenango County for re-sentencing on an attempted burglary in the second degree charge, a class D felony. He was originally sentenced to serve a determinate sentence of three years in the New York State Department of Corrections, with two years post-release supervision.

Under New York State Law, the sentence imposed on Huzinec for this charge was unlawful. Huzinec, a prior felon, must receive five years post-release supervision, as this was his second violent felony offense.
