Three arrested following foot pursuit for stealing catalytic converters

OXFORD – The Chenango County Sheriff's Office reported that on July 29, 2016 three individuals were apprehended after they allegedly were caught in the act of trying to steal catalytic converters from an Automobile Garage in the Town of Oxford.

After receiving reports of converters being stolen from vehicles in the area, CCSO Detectives conducted surveillance at the Garage. According to a press release, at approximately 12:30 a.m. three suspects were witnessed by the CCSO Detectives attempting to remove a catalytic converter from a vehicle in the lot.

Following a short foot pursuit the three individuals in question were arrested.
