Holy Family adopts new free and reduced price meal policy

NORWICH - The Diocese of Syracuse Catholic Schools has announced a free and reduced price meal and milk policy for Holy Family school.

School officials have adopted a new eligibility criteria for both free and reduced price meals, and Holy Family is urging people to apply. Parents can determine if their child is eligible by completing and submitting the application sent home with an accompanying letter of the policy’s description.

Applications may be submitted at any time during the school year and additional copies can be found at principal Lydia Brenner’s office.

Households that currently comprise children who receive aid from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF), or the Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR) must complete an application listing the child’s name, the appropriate case number relative to the program in which they are receiving assistance, and the signature of an adult household member. Or they may provide an eligibility letter for free meals/milk issued by the NYS Education Department.
